After a long drive, Alter Wirt was a welcome sight. Greeted with a friendly smile and a cold local beer, I felt right at home. This was my second stay in this traditional Bavarian guesthouse, and it hasn't disappointed. Conveniently located near the highway, it allowed for an easy evening stop before heading on to Munich amidst the football frenzy. The restaurant exudes a charm typical of the region, with its tastefully restored dining areas providing the perfect ambience for my Bavarian feast. I dined on delightful Alpine classics, complemented by delicious draught beers from the nearby Hopf Weißbier brewery. The generous room offered a peaceful view of the garden, and the breakfast was adequate to kickstart my day. With helpful staff and a short walk to the charming town centre, I appreciate this hidden gem and expect to return during my travels.
